C.C. Johnson & Malhotra, P.C. (CCJM) provided Mechanical / Electrical engineering for the bus garage at MDOT MTA’s Kirk Avenue facility in Baltimore, MD. Scope of Design Services includes preparation of 30% conceptual documents. HVAC design consisted of rooftop units with energy recovery, roof-mounted air handling units and roof-mounted energy recovery units. Plumbing design consisted of low flow plumbing fixtures, domestic hot water heater, rainwater collection system serving bus wash and flush valves. Fire protection design consisted of wet pipe sprinkler systems for all areas. Design of new gas service for the facility. Electrical design consisted of electrical lighting, power, and special systems. Two new service connections were provided for both the buildings. For emergency power, a diesel generator set provides emergency power for each building. Lighting design includes sensors and motion detectors.
