This design-build delivery for the new PGL North Shop Service Center is to be constructed in the Peterson Industrial Corridor in Chicago, IL. The new PGL Buildings will be a new, fully accessible, approximately 82,000 sq. ft two-story structure that will serve as a fleet hub, service center, offices, parts warehouse, and field support shops. It will include vehicle parking for 40 service trucks, a repair garage with 6 service bays, and other utility support areas.
The project includes special systems for maintenance vehicle repair that includes compressed air loop, oil/transmission fluid pumps, antifreeze turbine pumps, welding exhaust system, central dust collector, vehicle life and cranes, and vehicle exhaust hose reels. This project creates a long-term facility solution for a workplace that operates at optimal efficiency and creates positive employee experiences that bolster morale and engagement.
